Why Service Matters
One of the first words we learn as volunteers at Ta’leef is “khidma” or service. It remains a word forever powerful, because it is the drive behind why we love creating all the pieces that make the community’s experience here beautiful and whole. Pictured here is Kubra. When we asked Kubra why she volunteers she said: “I’ve really enjoyed listening and learning from brother Usama’s lectures on Sunday nights. Seeing such a warm and welcoming community that is so thirty for true knowledge is what drives me to be dedicated and committed to Ta’leef.”
